My Wifi Is Not Working In Windows 8
Jun 15, 2019 WiFi Missing or Not Working in Windows 10 after you install or upgrade enforce you to look for the driver update, change properties of the adapter, the correct physical switch for WiFi adapter. But none of these works.
I recently have trouble with my wifi not working issues on Surface Pro Windows 8 tablet. WiFi is disconnected and turned off, and become greyed out in the metro interface. When I access the network connection panel, amber “Wi-Fi (Off)” is listing in the indicator. Try pressing FN-F12 combination from type cover, turning Airplane Mode off/on and restarting the Surface but still not working. All drivers are up to date and running Windows troubleshooting failes to solve the problem. Is there a solution for that?
How to Fix Windows 8 WiFi Off problem on Surface Pro* Swipe in from the right-panel of start screen to open charms bar.
* Tap/Click Settings > Change PC Settings at the bottom of the bar.
* Select “Wireless” within the PC Settings, and toggle the Wi-Fi back on. That should be caused by airplan mode.
Now my Surface works perfect for three weeks.

No WiFi after upgrading to Windows 10
After you upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise, you may find that no wireless networks are available. Wired Ethernet connections may also not function properly, if you are using built-in Ethernet adapter or a USB Ethernet adapter. This could occurs due to presence of unsupported VPN software.
Here are a few things you could try:
1] Restart your computer. Reset your Wi-Fis router and see if that works.
2] Next check if you have any VPN software installed on your computer. If it doesn’t not support Windows 10, then uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue. If it does, then go visit the software vendors website and download the version which supports Windows 10.
3] Disable your Firewall and see if that is the cause.
4] Open Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode. Ensure that Airplane mode is Off. Command and conquer generals walkthrough.
5] To resolve this issue, KB3084164 recommends the following. First, run in a CMD, netcfg –s n to see if DNI_DNE is present in the resulting list of networking protocols, drivers and services. If so, proceed.
Run the following commands, one after the other, in an elevated command prompt:
If this does not work for you, create a system restore point and then Run regeditto open the Registry Editor. Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3}
If it exists, delete it. It basically does the same thing as the ‘reg delete‘ command.
6] The Network Reset feature in Windows 10 will help you reinstall Network adapters and reset Networking Components to original settings.
7] If you do not see the Wi-Fi network’s name at home, first ensure that your router is set to broadcast the network’s name.
To check this, you will have to connect your PC to your router using an Ethernet cable. Next open your browser and type the IP address for your wireless router in the address bar and hit Enter. Sign in and visit the Wireless Settings page. Now ensure that the settings Enable SSID Broadcast, Wireless SSID broadcast, etc, is set to On.
The issue could affect Surface devices too.
